Introducing Mexican & Chilean tax support (+ other tax engine improvements!)

Hi everyone,

We’re pleased to announce the release of support for digital sales tax for customers located in Mexico or Chile! These countries recently began charging sales tax on digital products sold to their customers, and support for this is now built in to our sales tax engine.

We’ve also added a new ‘Services’ tax category – this not only applies the correct rate of PST/GST for services sold from Canada, but if you’re in the EU, it also allows you to charge the relevant rate for your service when your country of origin applies rather than the customer’s.

We’ve also added support for the various specific rates applied to ebooks throughout the EU, and fixed a problem where the names of each Canadian province wasn’t broken down in the sales tax report properly.

Enjoy the updates and stay tuned for more!,
