We continually roll out improvements to ThriveCart and ThriveCart Academy, with updates designed to help creators process purchases, manage customers, understand performance, and deliver better learning experiences. This edition covers platform improvements released between October 26 and November 1, 2026.
ThriveCart
Subscription payment updates are matched more reliably across checkout versions
ThriveCart now handles subscription payment updates more consistently across different checkout versions. This helps keep payment activity, account records, and subscription status aligned as customers complete purchases and renewals.
PayPal checkouts now require approval before fulfillment begins
PayPal approval is now handled more reliably on ThrivePages checkouts using EU withdrawal settings. Customers must complete the PayPal approval step before an order is processed, helping ensure that fulfillment only begins after payment has been authorized.
Tracking integrations load more reliably on ThrivePages checkouts
Creators using ThrivePages can now rely on Google Tag Manager being included correctly when it is enabled for a product. This helps tracking, consent controls, and purchase events work as expected on live checkout pages.
Checkout processing is more resilient when payment confirmation takes longer
ThriveCart can now continue checking for payment completion when a customer needs extra time to approve a payment, complete 3D Secure verification, or finish an asynchronous payment method. This helps reduce the chance of a completed payment becoming disconnected from the order.
Recovered Revenue win-back rates now remain within an accurate range
The Recovered Revenue report now calculates win-back rates correctly across longer reporting periods. Merchants can review their results with greater confidence, without percentages being added together across separate time periods and producing misleading totals.
Embedded ThrivePages checkouts now recognize numeric product IDs
Creators using embedded ThrivePages checkouts can now use numeric product IDs without the checkout displaying an empty product result. This helps existing embeds continue to load the correct checkout for customers.
Affiliate commission previews now provide clearer guidance for complex products
Creators and affiliates can now see clearer commission preview information when products include multiple pricing options, subscriptions, or bumps. This makes it easier to understand how commissions will work before an affiliate promotes a product.
Affiliate transaction emails now make activity easier to follow
Affiliates now receive clearer emails when they earn a commission or refer a sale. Updated visuals and simpler messaging make it easier to understand what happened, who was involved, and how much commission was earned. Each email also links directly to the affiliate dashboard, with social sharing options available so affiliates can celebrate and share their results.
Subscription report tooltips now show accurate subscriber counts
The subscriber breakdown chart now displays actual counts for existing subscribers and trials, alongside new and paused subscribers. This gives merchants a clearer view of the figures behind their subscription reports.
ThriveCart Academy
Tag-based access rules now unlock course modules more reliably
Students who already hold the required tags now reliably unlock the course modules those tags grant. Previously some were told they didn't have the required tags when they did.
Students who paid but couldn't reach their course now get access
Students who enrolled or paid, but saw an empty course or an "access denied" message, can now reach their content reliably.
Lesson resources now open more consistently within Academy
Links to lesson resources now work more reliably within the Academy experience, helping students access supporting content without unexpected navigation problems.
Course editing, translation, and unlock settings are more dependable
Creators can work more smoothly across course editing and translation workflows. Unlock settings also continue to work when a course does not require additional conditions, making it easier to configure straightforward access rules.
Creators can keep community access connected to the right account
ThriveCart Academy now ensures students cannot accidentally join a different creator’s community through a public link, invitation, or access request. Students can also leave communities reliably, giving creators cleaner membership records and helping ensure each learner is connected to the community they purchased or were invited to join.
Purchase welcome links now remain valid for seven days
Students now have seven days to use the welcome link sent after purchase, instead of 48 hours. This gives new students more flexibility if they do not sign in immediately after buying.
Community posts now show a clear edited label
Posts that have been edited now display a clear edited marker. Actions such as pinning or reacting no longer make a post appear as though its content was changed.
Communities now provide an easier route back to the main page
Students and creators can now return to the main Academy page more easily while browsing a community. This improves navigation and makes it simpler to move between community activity and the wider learning experience.
Student profiles and achievements now use a consistent Academy layout
Student profiles and achievement pages now use the same visual shell as community pages. This creates a more consistent experience as students move between their profile, achievements, and community activity.
Completing a lesson no longer produces an error when the lesson is unavailable
If a lesson has been removed or is no longer available, Academy now handles the completion action more gracefully. Students can continue using the course experience without being stopped by an unexpected error.
Mobile course previews now identify linked quizzes correctly
Creators checking a lesson on their phone no longer see a linked quiz wrongly described as unlinked.
Quiz passing scores are now limited to a valid percentage range
Creators can now set quiz passing scores from 0% through 100%. This keeps course settings clear and prevents an invalid score from being saved.
Discussions now work correctly in standalone courses
Creators using discussions in a course without a connected community can now open and configure the Discussions panel more reliably. The setup experience no longer displays an incorrect community connection message or an empty selection area.
In-video quizzes are now available across all paid tiers where enabled
Creators using paid Academy plans can now make in-video quizzes available consistently across eligible tiers. This gives creators more flexibility when adding interactive checks to their lessons and helps students engage with video content more actively.
