Every week, we roll out more improvements to ThriveCart and ThriveCart Academy, with updates designed to make selling, managing customers, tracking performance, and delivering courses easier. Here’s what changed between September 14-20, 2026.
ThriveCart
Transaction data can be retrieved without a date range
Merchants and connected tools can now request external transaction data without entering “from” and “to” dates first. This is useful when they need to retrieve all available transactions or when a specific reporting period does not apply.
Mobile success pages display better after checkout
Customers using mobile devices can now view the full success page after completing a purchase, without content being cut off on the side of the screen. This creates a clearer and more complete post-purchase experience across mobile browsers.
Apple Pay payments complete more reliably
Apple Pay checkout improvements help prevent payments from becoming stuck after a customer authenticates with Face ID or Touch ID. Customers can now move through supported Apple Pay checkouts with fewer interruptions.
ThriveCart Academy
Transactional emails use the creator’s sender name
Transactional Academy emails now use the creator’s sender display name instead of a generic “no reply” label. This gives students clearer context about where their messages are coming from and creates a more recognizable communication experience.
Trial-ending reminders are shown at the right time
Students no longer see a “Your trial is ending” message after their trial has already ended. This keeps account communication more accurate and prevents outdated reminders from creating confusion.
Course editor scrolling has been improved
Creators can scroll through modules and lessons more reliably while building and organizing courses. This makes it easier to work with longer courses and reach content lower down in the editor.
The add-block menu stays visible while building lessons
The add-block menu no longer disappears behind the lesson footer when creators are working near the bottom of a lesson. This makes it easier to add content wherever it is needed.
Table editing targets the selected row or column
When creators delete part of a table, ThriveCart Academy now applies the action to the row or column where the cursor is positioned. This makes table editing more predictable and reduces the need to undo or repeat changes.
Course editor stability has improved across several content types
Improvements to lesson loading, empty bullet lists, and editor remounting help creators continue working without unexpected interruptions. These changes make the course-building experience more dependable across different lesson structures.
Draft quizzes now provide clearer feedback
Draft quizzes now warn creators when an action cannot be completed. This makes it easier to understand what happened and continue working on the quiz.
Quiz creation is more stable
Improvements to the quiz builder help prevent content from failing to load correctly while creators are building quizzes. This makes it easier to create and update assessments.
Quizzes work correctly on custom Academy domains
Students using a creator’s custom Academy domain can now open quizzes without being sent to an unavailable page. This creates a more consistent branded experience for accounts already using custom domains.
End-of-course assessments appear in the student portal
Students can now see end-of-course assessment quizzes in the expected place instead of being presented with a blank lesson. This makes it easier to complete the final stage of a course.
Short Text video quiz questions work as expected
Short Text questions now provide a genuine text-entry field, giving students a clear way to submit written answers and helping their responses be evaluated correctly.
Students can retry video quizzes more reliably
The Try Again option now works as expected, allowing students to make another attempt without being stopped by an unexpected server error.
Timestamped video questions no longer complete quizzes too early
Video quizzes now wait until students have completed the relevant questions before marking the quiz complete. This gives students a more accurate assessment experience.
Video quiz results remain available after an attempt
Video quiz attempts now retain important result information, including the score, completion status, and whether the student passed. This gives creators and students a more dependable view of quiz progress.
Video quiz text is clearer for creators and students
Video quiz labels now display readable wording instead of internal translation references, making the quiz-building and quiz-taking experience easier to understand.
Video uploads complete more reliably
Video uploads that previously timed out can now complete successfully, helping creators add course media without needing to restart the process.
Quote alignment settings work more consistently
Creators can now apply text alignment settings to quote blocks more reliably, helping them maintain the intended layout and presentation of course content.
Lesson block settings are easier to access
Settings controls for Collapsible Section and Download/File blocks now appear more reliably. This gives creators easier access to the options they need when configuring lesson content.
Student Preview handles locked lesson messages more reliably
Student Preview no longer displays an unexpected error when a student reaches a locked next-lesson message. Creators can preview course journeys with greater confidence.
Member and community dashboard counts are more accurate
Dashboard counts for members and communities now display more reliably, helping creators get a clearer view of their Academy account.
Comments are easier to follow in the thread drawer
Comments now display more reliably in the thread drawer, making it easier for community members and creators to follow conversations without losing context.
Creators can add course access from Student Overview
Creators can now grant course access directly from the Student Overview area, making it quicker to help individual students access the content they need.
Creators can access the community Courses tab more reliably
Creators can now open the Courses tab within their community without receiving an access error.
Large creator accounts can load the Courses page more reliably
Improvements to the creator Courses page help prevent loading timeouts for larger accounts, making it easier to review and manage courses.
New ThriveCart products appear correctly in the Resource Hub
The Resource Hub now refreshes more reliably and displays newly added ThriveCart products as expected. This helps creators find the resources and products available to them without waiting for outdated information to clear.
Business name changes save more reliably
Creators can now update their business name in account settings without the save process failing unexpectedly. This makes it easier to keep account information accurate.
Creating tags is more reliable
Creators can now create tags more consistently, helping them organize students and manage access rules without unnecessary interruptions.
Discussion settings support courses connected to multiple communities
When a course is connected to more than one community, creators can now select the relevant community from the Discussions settings. This makes it easier to manage where course discussions are connected.
Purchase buttons in private spaces now explain what students are buying
When students see a product purchase button inside a private space, the message now makes clear that buying the product will not automatically give them access to that private space. This helps students understand exactly what their purchase includes before they check out.
Locked-space purchase prompts show the right products
When a paid space is locked, the purchase prompt now lists products connected to that space instead of unrelated community products. This gives students more relevant options when they are deciding how to gain access.
Paid-community access changes are handled more smoothly
Improvements to paid-community lifecycle handling help prevent access-related interruptions when community membership changes.
Failed community replies now provide a clear error
If a community reply cannot be submitted, Academy now displays an error instead of showing a loading state indefinitely. This gives members clearer feedback and makes it easier to try again.
Creator profiles remain available when media loading is interrupted
A creator’s My Profile page no longer becomes unavailable when a profile image or media library request cannot be completed. This keeps the profile experience more resilient.
Profile photos display correctly in feeds and member lists
Community Feed and Members areas now show a creator’s profile photo when one has been set, rather than defaulting to initials. This creates a more personal and recognizable community experience.
Long lesson titles provide clear guidance
Lesson titles longer than 200 characters now show an explanatory message rather than closing the dialog without feedback. Creators can understand the limitation and adjust the title accordingly.
The content menu stays visible when adding blocks near the bottom of a lesson
When creators type “/” near the bottom of a lesson, the menu of content options now stays on screen instead of appearing below the visible area. This makes it easier to add text, images, videos, and other content wherever it’s needed.
Modules can be renamed or deleted without entering Bulk Mode
Each module row now provides a menu for common actions such as renaming or deleting. Creators can manage course structure more directly without switching into a separate editing mode.
Student onboarding continues smoothly after completing key steps
Students who have already completed the third onboarding card can continue through onboarding without encountering a broken error state.
Student-view headings match the creator’s settings
Heading sizes in the student experience now better reflect the choices made by the creator in the course editor. This helps published lessons retain their intended hierarchy and presentation.
The external links widget uses clearer default wording
The external links widget now uses “Links” as its default title rather than “Resources,” helping distinguish external links from files and other learning materials.
Tag-based unlock rules handle active tags more reliably
Access rules that depend on an active tag now work more consistently, helping students receive the content they are meant to access.
Course-editor sidebar controls are easier to use
Drag grips in the course editor sidebar now stay visible, so creators can see where modules and lessons can be reordered. Keyboard-based reordering also works as expected. Drag handles within the lesson canvas remain available when hovering over them.
Custom CSS protection has been strengthened
The main protection improvement for Custom CSS is now in place, helping keep branded Academy pages safer while we continue refining how less common styling patterns are handled.
Product Access Mappings are easier to manage
Product Access Mappings now support pagination and search, making it easier to find specific mappings in larger accounts. Failed fulfillment records can also be dismissed from the main view while remaining available under dismissed items for reference.
