Every week, we roll out more improvements to ThriveCart and ThriveCart Academy, with updates designed to make selling, managing customers, tracking performance, and delivering courses easier. Here’s what changed between September 7-13, 2026.
ThriveCart
Product-filtered revenue churn reporting is more reliable
When reviewing revenue churn for a specific product or recurring product group, merchants can now access the information they need without an unexpected interruption. This makes it easier to understand subscription performance and identify changes in recurring revenue.
Trial and post-payment account access is more reliable
Improvements to trial account processing help ensure that accounts are handled correctly when a trial ends, including cases where an account has no primary user configured. Merchants who make a successful payment after an access interruption can also have their account restored more reliably, helping reduce unnecessary access issues and support requests.
Canadian course tax calculations follow provincial rates more accurately
Canadian merchants selling course products can now expect tax calculations to better reflect the applicable provincial rules. This includes improved handling for HST provinces such as Ontario, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia.
Tax-rate connections are more dependable
Improvements to the Quaderno tax-rate connection help ThriveCart communicate with the service more reliably when retrieving tax information. This supports smoother tax setup and more consistent tax-related workflows for merchants using the integration.
ThriveCart Academy
Course publishing controls remain visible when settings are open
The Publish Course window now appears in the correct place when Course Settings is open, making it easier for creators to complete the publishing process.
Students can see the Authored introduction in preview
The Authored introduction now appears correctly in Student Preview, helping creators review the same learning experience their students will see before publishing.
Product access mapping gives students the course they selected
Improvements to product access mapping help ensure that a customer receives the course connected to the pricing option they purchased. This provides a more dependable path from checkout to course access.
Certificates provide cleaner presentation when a title is not supplied
Certificates no longer display placeholder text when the signee’s title has been left blank. This helps creators deliver a more polished certificate experience to students.
Certificate previews load more reliably
Creators can now preview certificates more consistently without waiting for the preview to time out. This makes it easier to review certificate designs before sharing them with students.
Legacy-tier certificates are available to eligible students
Certificate access for legacy tiers is now handled more reliably, helping students receive the completion materials associated with their course.
Quiz attempt information is clearer for students
Quiz headers now correctly show the student’s current attempt, including “Attempt 1 of 1” on a first attempt. This makes quiz requirements easier to understand.
Quizzes can be reviewed in course previews
Creators can now see quiz blocks in preview experiences, making it easier to review the complete lesson before students access it.
Course creation editing controls work more consistently
The Edit controls for course layout and style now respond as expected, making it easier for creators to adjust the appearance of a course while building it.
Unlinking resources protects newer course versions
Creators can unlink a resource without risking changes to a newer version of the course content. This helps protect the latest version of a course while older resources are reorganized.
Academy banners provide a more consistent branded experience
Improvements to banner sizing and branding help creators present headers and banners more consistently across their Academy experiences.
Course editor text is easier to create and format
In the course editor, using Callout with the Enter key no longer removes text, nested lists retain their intended structure, and font presets stay in sync. These improvements make it easier to format lessons and maintain the intended design.
Dark themes provide clearer text contrast
Updates to dark-theme contrast help ensure the course editor remains easier to read when creators use darker visual styles.
Tag-gated content is protected more consistently
Content restricted by tags is now enforced more reliably, helping ensure that students can access only the lessons and materials intended for them.
Support Link settings provide clearer validation
The Support Link field now validates entries more consistently, helping creators identify setup issues before publishing their course or community experience.
Community member counts and ownership details are clearer
Community member counts now exclude the owner where appropriate, and owner badges display correctly. This gives creators a more accurate view of community membership and ownership.
Community updates continue after individual webhook issues
Academy now handles individual webhook interruptions more reliably so that one event does not prevent other updates from being processed. This helps keep connected systems in sync with community activity.
Community setup includes a more flexible theme and style picker
Creators now have a clearer way to select community themes and styles during setup, helping them create a branded experience more efficiently.
Maintenance messaging no longer covers key branding
The maintenance banner now stays out of the way of the Academy logo, making the page easier to understand while maintenance information is displayed.
Modals remain accessible on shorter screens
Important Academy modals can now be reached more reliably on screens with limited vertical space. This makes the experience easier to use on smaller laptops, tablets, and other devices.
Vimeo content displays more reliably
Vimeo videos now load more consistently instead of showing an unexpected black screen, helping students access the media included in their lessons.
Resource Hub videos move beyond processing more reliably
Videos added to the Resource Hub don’t remain stuck in a processing state, helping creators and students access media sooner.
Resource Hub spaces display correctly when no widgets are configured
A Resource Hub space now displays its saved content even when it doesn’t yet have a widget configuration. This gives creators a clearer starting point when setting up a new space.
