Update: student list and Learn bug fixes…

It’s Tuesday, and you know what that means – it’s time for some updates! We’ve got a few bug fixes for you, as well as quality-of-life improvements:

Legacy templates – our older templates cannot support enhanced payment processors. However you were still able to try using this combo, meaning payment fields wouldn’t show or cause errors with no clear reason as to why. We’ve now made it impossible to use enhanced payment processors with legacy templates.

Student lists – you may have found a discrepancy between the actual number of students in your course and those reported in the All Students list. We’ve found the issue, and it is now fixed.

Stripe – multiple IP addresses were being passed to Stripe in very few cases, resulting in failed charges. We identified the issue inside our API, and now everything should work as normal.

Bump Offers – the bump offer and details of it such as title and description may not have been included, and were unable to be added, if the bump was enabled on the product after the template was chosen. This should have only affected checkouts using a few certain templates, and those have been fixed. If you encounter any problems like this, please contact Support.

Meanwhile, over in our Learn Beta Group we’ve had some really encouraging feedback from users which our devs have translated into real progress! These fixes are not yet available to everyone, but we will give them a full release when they’re ready:

Learn Beta: view by all – students may not have been able to see lessons and modules with tags set when the lesson/module is set to “view by all”. This was due to a little more code being needed when searching for students, so we added it.

Learn Beta: time release – if you set a lesson/module to be released based on time but did not set the unit – for example, just entering “5” without the day/week/month/year – then you would have encountered an error and the course would be inaccessible. With our fix, the course can still be used, but the content which is set up incorrectly will not display, so if you forget to enter the day/week/month/year it’s more obvious something is wrong.

That’s it for this week! If you have any issues with ThriveCart, please check our help docs for guidance or reach out to support and we’ll be in touch.

We’ll be back soon with more updates for you – until then, keep thriving!

All the best,
