We're investing in the future of ThriveCart — more resilient infrastructure, faster checkouts, and smarter tooling. Here's what we're building to keep your business thriving.
Cross-region failover and pre-rendered checkouts so your store stays online.
Dedicated infrastructure for our largest merchants — no noisy neighbors.
Isolated microservices reducing dependency on any single point of failure.
Faster page loads, higher uptime, stronger checkout conversion.
The Roadmap Ahead
We're implementing cross-region database replication and standby application infrastructure so we can fail over to another AWS region far more quickly if a regional issue occurs.
We're moving our highest-GMV customers onto dedicated infrastructure, reducing contention on shared systems and, over time, allowing high-volume merchants to be isolated even further if needed.
We're introducing a caching layer so the checkout no longer needs to query the tenant database after the initial page load, significantly reducing dependency on the core application during checkout.
We're moving from rendering checkout pages on every request to pre-rendering and caching them (similar to how our sister business, Convertri, serves pages). Only interactive actions — such as payment processing and coupon validation — require live backend services, while page loads become both faster and more resilient.
We're continuing to separate payments and other critical checkout functionality into dedicated services and microservices, reducing reliance on the legacy application and databases, and making the checkout far more resilient to failures elsewhere in the platform.
In addition to the Status Page updates, we've strengthened monitoring, alerting and operational processes, alongside enhanced status page notifications and communications, so we're able to detect, respond to and communicate incidents much more quickly.
We're evaluating what would be required to support deployment beyond AWS. This is a much larger engineering project, but one we're actively assessing as part of our long-term resilience strategy.
