Every week, we roll out more improvements to ThriveCart and ThriveCart Academy, with updates designed to make selling, managing customers, tracking performance, and delivering courses easier. Here’s what changed between August 31 and September 6, 2026.
ThriveCart
ThriveCart Academy is now available as a fulfillment option
Merchants can now select ThriveCart Academy from the fulfillment dropdown when setting up products. This makes it easier to connect a ThriveCart purchase with the course or community content customers should receive. Read this support doc for more information.
Bumps, upsells, and downsells can now provide ThriveCart Academy content
ThriveCart Academy content can now be connected to order bumps, upsells, and downsells. This gives creators more flexibility when building funnels and helps customers receive the right course or community access when they accept an additional offer. Related subscription activity is also handled more consistently, helping access stay aligned throughout the customer relationship.
Paid Space and Space Group fulfillment is now available
Creators can now use ThriveCart Academy fulfillment for paid spaces and space groups, making it easier to connect purchases with the right community access and deliver a more seamless customer experience.
Rebill tax corrections use more complete payment history
ThriveCart now considers previous recurring payments, as well as the original purchase, when reviewing rebill tax amounts. This helps the platform identify and correct discrepancies more accurately when customers move from trial or introductory pricing to a standard subscription rate.
Apple Pay is available more reliably at checkout
Eligible customers can now see Apple Pay more consistently when completing purchases through supported Stripe Connect+ checkouts, giving them another fast and convenient way to pay.
PayPal payment processing is more resilient during temporary connection issues
Improvements to PayPal payment handling help orders recover more reliably should a temporary connection, timeout, or network issue occur during processing.
Paid trial accounts are restored more reliably after payment
If a customer previously paid for an account but access was interrupted by a trial-status error, ThriveCart can now recognize the successful payment and restore the account automatically. This helps reduce unnecessary access interruptions and manual support work.
The onboarding event link now works as expected
The “Reserve your spot” link in onboarding now responds correctly, helping users access the intended office-hours experience without needing to search for it separately.
Refund policy information in the app is now up to date
The refund policy shown inside ThriveCart now reflects the latest approved policy information. This gives merchants and their teams clearer guidance when reviewing subscription, lifetime deal, ThrivePay Installments, and other refund scenarios.
Webhook processing continues more reliably should one event encounter an error
ThriveCart now handles unexpected problems with individual webhook events without stopping the rest of the batch. This helps connected systems continue receiving updates and makes webhook activity more dependable.
Zero-dollar withdrawal requests can be handled more clearly
When a withdrawal request relates to a free trial or an order fully covered by a coupon, merchants can now acknowledge the request without trying to process a refund for an order where no payment was collected. The customer’s subscription can also be canceled through the correct workflow.
Customer Hub shows all parts of multi-item purchases more reliably
Orders that include multiple charges, such as a main product and a bump subscription, now appear more completely in Customer Hub. Purchases, subscriptions, rebills, and cancellations are matched to the correct item more consistently.
Meta purchase events now identify the selected pricing plan
Facebook Conversions API purchase events now include the selected product pricing option, such as monthly or annual billing. This gives merchants more useful information when comparing conversion activity across different pricing plans.
ThriveCart Academy
We’re also continuing to improve ThriveCart Academy for creators and students, with updates across sign-in, course access, branding, navigation, billing, media, and course creation.
Drip content can use both time-based and completion-based conditions
Combined drip conditions now support time intervals alongside module completion, giving creators more flexibility when deciding when students receive course content.
Creators have more control over the welcome banner
Creators can now choose whether the welcome banner appears and control how it’s displayed, making it easier to tailor the first experience for students.
Course completion averages are now more accurate
Course cards now calculate average completion using lesson progress, giving creators a clearer view of how much of their course students have completed.
Lesson settings stay in sync while editing
Opening lesson settings from the sidebar now refreshes the settings panel correctly, helping creators work with the latest lesson information while editing.
Button label changes save more reliably
Creators can now update button labels and move around the editor more smoothly, with changes saved more consistently when clicking away after editing.
Creators can resend student login links from the student profile
Creators can now resend a student’s login link directly from the student detail page, making it easier to help students regain access to their accounts.
Branding defaults apply more consistently across sign-in experiences
Account branding defaults now apply correctly to logos and sign-in layouts across communities and courses, helping creators present a more consistent experience.
Sign-in button colors can be customized separately
Creators can now customize the sign-in button color independently from the main brand color, providing more flexibility when matching their sign-in pages to their brand.
Migrated access tags no longer disrupt course access rules
Access rules now handle migrated tags more reliably, helping students receive the content they should have access to after a course or account migration.
Published courses display more clearly when they have no content yet
Empty published-course states now display an appropriate “Check back soon” or “Your instructor is still building this course” message, giving creators and students clearer feedback instead of an incomplete or blank page.
Enrollment lists and counts update more reliably
New students now appear in enrollment lists without requiring a manual refresh, and enrollment counts update correctly when a student is removed.
Community member counts now match across ThriveCart Academy
When creators select a community during course creation, the member count now correctly matches the count shown on the Communities page. This gives creators a more accurate view of community size and helps them choose the right community for their course.
Attachments display correctly in messages
Attachments in messages and conversations now render correctly, helping creators and students view shared files more easily.
The course editor is cleaner and more predictable to use
Updates to the course editor remove unnecessary number displays, improve plate editing, reduce page-freezing behavior, keep mobile sidebars from blocking lesson content, improve contrast, and make page navigation more stable.
Students can sign in without needing a community
Students who only have access to courses can now sign in without being required to join a community first, making course-only experiences simpler to access.
Login, account migration, and password reset flows are more reliable
Improvements across creator login, account migration, login after payment, password resets, multi-account selection, and related account access flows help creators and students get into the right account more consistently.
Sign-up pages and initial sign-in layouts are clearer
Updates to sign-up pages and first-time sign-in layouts help creators and students see the intended page and understand what to do next.
Mobile sign-in pages are easier to use
The mobile sign-in layout now displays more consistently, helping students and creators access ThriveCart Academy from smaller screens.
Course creation inherits the correct brand colors
New courses now inherit the appropriate brand color from the account, reducing the need for creators to repeat branding work manually.
Brand colors meet expected contrast standards
Brand colors now provide clearer contrast, making course and sign-in experiences easier to read.
Welcome videos display without being cut off
Welcome videos now display more completely, helping students view the intended introduction to a course.
Published courses can be moved back to Draft more clearly
Creators can now move a published course back to Draft without confusing that action with Archive. Status labels and related course views also stay more closely aligned.
New communities inherit the account’s sign-in layout
When a new community does not have its own sign-in layout, it now uses the account’s default layout, including the appropriate logo and branding.
Courses inherit the account’s global brand color when no custom color is set
Creators can rely on the account-level brand color being applied to courses that don’t have a separate course-specific color.
The community switcher makes it easier to find the right community
The community switcher now supports search and shows recent communities first, helping users move between communities more quickly.
Student navigation and profile movement are more consistent
Updates to student navigation, sidebar clarity, profile back-navigation, course-card artwork, and the Communities area on the student homepage make it easier for students to understand where they are and where to go next.
Creator tools provide a smoother course-building experience
New draft courses, course-card actions, saved-template details, text expansion, and theme and presentation presets now behave more consistently, helping creators build and manage course content with fewer interruptions.
